Checking

Checking the current update status.

Previously published values and their sources remain available when updates are delayed or cannot be checked.

Data is not marked current until its status has been checked.

Update status by dataset

Displayed data dates describe the published values. A change in the current ledger status does not overwrite these dates.

How to read the dates and statuses

  1. Source dates and collection times are different

Certification, registration and document dates come from the source institution. The last successful collection is when data was actually retrieved. Missing dates are not replaced with the current time.

  2. Scheduled collections have a 24-hour grace period

We keep the existing collection schedules and mark data as delayed only after the next scheduled time plus 24 hours. An attempted collection does not change the last successful collection time.

  3. Manufacturer documents have review deadlines

Specifications are reviewed within 180 days; documents containing prices use 90 days. These are our review policies, not update guarantees from manufacturers. Downloading a document again does not make an old observation current.

Verified values stay available as statuses change

Within deadline means the source is within its review period. Empty ledger means there are no records. Unavailable means a failed check or insufficient evidence. Under review means some manufacturer values need further checks before display. None of these is treated as a successful collection.
